Post-war is a borderline between irony and serious speech. The prefix "post" in Latin means "after", so post-irony can be regarded as a serious speech with an aftertaste of irony, or as irony, after which there remains a sediment of seriousness.
The erosion of the lines between sarcasm, irony and serious speech is quite a frequent phenomenon both in literature and in real life. The question "Are you kidding?" Can be considered the most common reaction to the post-ironic cue.
