Fiat money is the ordinary money that today has circulation in all countries of the world. The expression "phiatic money" is often used in the context of crypto-currencies to emphasize that it is not a question of crypto-currency, but of "ordinary" money.
The word "Fiat" is translated from Latin with the phrase "let it be so." Here we mean the fact that modern money is not provided with gold, and their value is established by the government of each country, issuing notes and regulating salaries and prices. That is, what bills the king decided to print, and such will be accepted as a means of payment. Many people believe that dollars are "candy wrappers" that do not have any value, since the US Federal Reserve can print them as much as necessary to put Russia back on its knees.
